Cesis Culture centre has been built as a place for cultural activities already in 1915, attracting private donations of local inhabitants. It has been a cultural place in all times – both in Soviet system and in independent Latvia. Our large concert hall has always have been full with spectators interested to see a new play prepared by local theatre group or to hear a wonderful music played by some guest orchestra.

Now Cesis Culture Centre is a home for 13 amateur groups (theater, choirs, dance groups and folk music group) and professional chamber orchestra. There is a possibility for all age groups – from children to retired people to participate at arts activities at Cesis Culture centre. Our choirs and dance groups are very active to take part at both local and international festivals, competitions and have shown very good results.
